EU to open representation office in Kurdistan

The European Union will soon open an Office in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan region to support the current activities of the EU in coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), the United Nations and NGOs. Minister Falah Mustafa the head of KRG Foreign Relations welcomes the decision of the EU for opening their office in Kurdistan.

Minister Falah Mustafa, Head of the KRG Foreign Relations, stated, “The KRG welcomes the decision of the EU to open an EU delegation office in Erbil. We thank the EU for responding positively to the need of opening an office in the Kurdistan Region.”

There are currently 33 countries that have their representation offices in Erbil, including the United States consulate and many European consulates as well as other countries.
