Time for an Independent Kurdistan – AEI
An independent Kurdistan is now more feasible than ever. The United States should seize this historic opportunity to support a strong ally in the Middle East – and one of the world’s most prominent stateless peoples.
Why would Iraq be unstable if they give Kurds their rights? Since 2003 war, the country (in the south) have been unstable, because Iraqi people didn’t and still don’t understand the freedom, people think freedom is killing each others and creating groups of terrorist that will help them have a better future, which in reality freedom comes from understanding and tolerating each others, if an Iraqi Sunni doesn’t understand or agree with another Iraqi Shiite that’s not Kurdish problem.
The Kurdish case have been separate for centuries, and they never had a state. Knowing that back in 1991 the southern part of Kurdistan in Northern Iraq have created their own semi-autonomous region, but due to current issues of other parts in Iraq the Kurdistan region is seeking for a complete independent that’s 100% separate from Iraq.
